Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a native of Minsk which is the capital city of Belarus. The father of her Sergey (d. 2019.) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk on May 5, 1998. Her professional career has seen her win twelve WTA singles championships. This includes an Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. Doubles is another sport where she shines. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both won with Elise Mertens. Then she also won an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Four women's teams have achieved this achievement. On the 23rd August of 2021, she was ranked second in the singles world ranking her top ranking again in the month of January in 2023. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself to the top of the list during February of that same year, following the win in Melbourne being the first tennis player from Belarus to be a part of this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) played her as a coach for the duration of the 2019 season in 2018 and through the close of the season. Dieter Kindlmann worked with her for short periods from August 2020 to September. Her training has been provided by her hero Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020.
